Senior Partner C. K. Kwong, is the Immediate Past President (2021-2024) of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators (HKIArb). Being a Chartered Arbitrator of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb London) and Accredited Mediator of the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR), he is empanelled on the panels or lists of various ADR Institutions including Hong Kong (HKIAC), Switzerland (World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO)), Asia and Africa (AALCO Hong Kong Regional Arbitration Centre), Shenzhen (Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA)), Zhuhai (Zhuhai Court of International Arbitration), Huizhou (Huizhou Arbitration Commission) and Langfang Arbitration Commission.
CK is a member of the Expert Advisory Group on Legal and Dispute Resolution Services established by the Department of Justice. He is an author of the 431 pages book “Hong Kong Arbitration Judgment and Commentaries” published by the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators in 2023.
His idea of clear statutory guidance on the arbitrability of intellectual property disputes was accepted by the Hong Kong Government and enacted as the Arbitration (Amendment) Ordinance 2017.
